Children and Teens
North Dakota Ballet Company is proud to offer dance classes for all ages and ability levels in a variety of styles. Learn more about the programs we offer below or by going to our Fall Classes page.
Pre-school Programming
Dance, spin, and twirl to the music as your child begins to explore introductory movement and music skills in this fun exploratory class. Dancers will learn classroom concepts and engage their imagination while learning basic dance steps

Academy Dance Classes
Join in the fun and explore the variety of classes available for all skills and all ages in our recreational division. The Academy offers a range of classes in a variety of disciplines such as ballet, tap, jazz, modern, hip hop, pointe, and Progressive Ballet Techniques.

Academy classes are open to dancers aged 7 - 18.
Competitive Dance Program
Our Competitive Dance Program is designed for dancers looking for an intensive experience in a team environment. Dancers will participate in regional dance competitions as well as local performance opportunities. This program is an audition based program with auditions held in May for the upcoming season. Dancers ages 6+ are eligible to audition for one of our competitive teams.

Youth Ballet Company (Apprentice Ensemble)
Our Youth Ballet Company is designed for dancers looking for a strong foundational training experience in ballet with an emphasis on technical training and performance. Dancers from this program participate in three annual performances to include our Holiday Ballet Performance, Spring Story Book Ballet, and Academy Concert.

Virtual Classes
NDBC has a library of virtual classes for ages 3-18 in numerous styles including ballet, jazz, modern, conditioning, pre-ballet, storybook ballet, and musical theater as well as various themed dance classes. Dancers are welcome to watch the videos and take the classes at any time. For more information about our virtual classes visit our Virtual Classes page.

Adult programs
North Dakota Ballet Company offers numerous program options for adults with a love of dance who want to continue to explore their passion. Whether you are new to dance, looking for more advanced training and performing opportunities, or want to explore dance as a way to stay active and fit we have classes for you.
Adult Dance Programming
NDBC offers adult programming available for all levels ages 16+. Whether you have never taken a class, or looking to get back into training we have a variety of class options for you to join us for one of our exiting sessions.

ELITE Dance Crew
ELITE Dance Crew is the premier hip hop crew in Grand Forks and one of the hottest up and coming performance troupes in the region. Their style is global, cutting edge, and always fresh. The group has been founded and led by Eller Bonifacio since 2015.

ELITE Dance Crew is looking for the next batch of dancers for Fall 2023. Train with us to improve your dance skills and get the opportunity to perform in various events in the region. You can find more information about ELITE Dance Crew on the adult classes page
Pre-Professional Adult Company
The Pre-Professional Division is designed for the dancers 18+ that are seeking opportunities to continue to advance their dance training and participate in performance opportunities throughout the region. Dancers attend weekly company class and rehearsal blocks based on casting.

The focus of this program is creating a community of dancers while fostering artistry. Performance opportunities include annual Holiday Performance, Spring Company Concert, and various community events throughout the season.
